Move better • Feel better • Live better

Why HOZY?

We live in a society that it super fast paced all the time. With demanding work hours, screens everywhere and pressure to perform it’s getting harder and harder to “switch off” both your brain and body.

At HOZY we prioritise slowing down.

Our foundation is built on Japanese philosophies that embrace the art of slow living through creating space in your mind, environment and body. This, together with relaxed grounding HBT and intuition lead practices means that you’ll leave each class feeling calm, supple and more connected.

Our custom Full Body Analysis helps you develop a deeper understanding of your own body. We’ll create a map of all your problem areas which will show you just how interconnected everything is. You’ll learn how to connect the dots to find the root cause of your pain and discomfort and then how to alleviate or manage your symptoms using body tuning and conditioning techniques.

“The key to longevity and a high quality life is taking care of your body.”

This beautiful living breathing vessel is the most important instrument you use throughout every second of every day. Which is why it is important to keep it tuned and prepared for what ever life may throw your way.

Imagine your body like a piano… You can create beautiful and complex music with it but the reality is that the strings are constantly under a tremendous amount of tension which gradually loosens them over time. Due to the tension and physical wear the piano then starts to sound out of tune, which is when you’ll have to bring in a piano tuner.

Pianos require regular tuning to maintain pitch accuracy, prevent major damage and protect the longevity of the instrument so it can be enjoyed over and over again throughout its lifetime.

Your body has the same needs!

Your joints, fascia, muscles, tendons and organs are under a huge amount of pressure to keep your body functioning at its best. Not to mention the extra work it has to do when you get sick or injured.

When you continue to use your overworked body as it is, you’re not giving your fascia and muscles the opportunity to rest and recover which is what causes tightness around your joints. Repeating this process day in and day out is what ultimately leads to injury.

Your body needs regular tuning too.

  • "Even after one session, I’ve gained back a healthier posture and am free from a lot of pains and discomforts that once I kind of thought would last forever.. Now I’m happier with going jogging, doing clerical work with a good posture, climbing a mountain, etc.! I realized once again that health is the no.1 priority in life to take good care of, since it affects our entire lives. Thank you so much, Julia!"

Why Body Tuning?

You probably grew up being taught that if you want to get stronger you have to train and if you want to become more flexible you have to stretch…

What they didn’t tell you (because they didn’t know) is that no matter how much you train, stretch and push yourself your body isn’t going to respond in the way that you want it to because it’s physically not prepared to take on that extra load.

How many times have you tripped on a flat surface, injured yourself or strained a muscle while doing a simple movement? You’re not alone!

Your body’s ability to stabilise and correct itself depends on how supple it is and how quick it can react.

That’s where Hako Body Tuning (HBT) comes in.

HBT subtracts all the extra stuff that you don’t need like stress, tension, stiffness and trapped trauma. It loosens up the fascia and muscles around your joints allowing for better blood & energy flow (circulation). Better circulation pumps more oxygen throughout the body replenishing fatigued muscles and lubricating your joints.

With a tuned, loose and lubricated body you’ll find that training and stretching will become so much more effective and you’ll end up seeing faster and better results.
